How long have you been in business?

Fifty-two years. The company was established in 1962.

How many employees do you have?

We have a full time staff of 14, including field and office staff.

What work do you perform with your own forces?

We perform masonry work, small or finish carpentry projects, general labor and clean up, and select demolition and excavation.

What is your average size job?

Our job sizes vary from several thousands of dollars up to and over $10 million. Our prime or target project is in the $3-$5 million range.

How many jobs do you have going at once?

We have anywhere from 5-15 projects going on at once. Work load is a direct reflection of size, scope and back log. We only take on projects we can properly staff.

How do you staff your projects?

We staff our projects with one full time laborer at a minimum, then either a working foreman or project manager. The levels of management and size of project teams will vary depending on the individual job needs and requirements.

What area(s) do you specialize in?

We have a very diverse and broad range of job experience and capabilities. We have a higher level of experience in houses of worship, private education, automotive dealer’s service and showrooms, and retail build outs.

What geographical areas do you service?

We service Suffolk County, Nassau County, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Lower Westchester, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Are you bondable, if so what is your bonding capability?

Yes, we are bondable and have the capability to secure $25 million in bonding requirements.

Do you use the same sub-contractors on every job?

We try to stay with the same core of sub-contractors; many of them have worked with us over 20 years. However, depending on workloads we will go out to additional sub-contractors to ensure all our projects are properly staffed and no sub-contractor is over burdened with an unmanageable work load.

Have you done jobs similar to this before?

Our long and diverse history has given us experience in the areas mentioned as specialties. We also have experience in new construction, catering facilities, bars and restaurants, retail or strip mall development, corporate interiors, and health care.

What type of warranties or guarantees do you offer?

We always stand behind our work for the industry standard of one year. However, if at any time before or after the warranty period there is an issue, we are always available review it along with any questions or issues that may arise. We also provide all warranties and guarantees on any product Cook & Krupa or our sub-contractors install as per the manufacturer’s warranty.
