Our Team

John Cook

Founder and co-owner of Cook & Krupa LLC., John Cook has a passion for construction instilled in him at a young age when his father, Raymond Cook, the founder of Cook & Krupa, Inc. gave him his very first hammer.

For John, summer break from school meant working for his father, cleaning up job sites and doing interior demolition work. As he got older, he quickly moved away from clean up and demolition towards framing, working with sheetrock, installing acoustical ceilings, doors and hardware and honing his carpentry skills installing cabinets or trim and molding.

Eventually, John became a project manager and adopted administrative aspects of construction projects, running and directing jobs, from bid to completion.

Today, John manages all personnel at Cook & Krupa and is in charge of billing, monitoring accounts receivable and payable, estimating, awarding of contracts, job management, coordination and relations with customers, architects and engineers.

John is a graduate of Quinnipiac University in 1993 with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. An enthusiastic Yankees fan, he is married to Giovanna and has five children. He lives in Garden City.
